There is no father like our heavenly father. God the father sees all and knows all. The best part of all Christian work is that part which only God sees and knows. I have been told that I look just like my father. Many even say that my son looks just like me. When you do things do you look like your heavenly father?

I remember as a small boy trying on my dad’s coat. I took it out of the closet and put it on. I remember thinking that this is a mighty big coat to fill. Now that I am older with my own family, I realize filling my father’s coat was more than physical size.

Just thinking about the responsibility that comes with wearing that coat can be overwhelming. Being a father in today’s world is far from easy. A father has many responsibilities and it can seem as though they are to much to handle. So it is for those seeking to control their own lives and seat in God’s position.

In St. John 8:18,19,20, Jesus says, “I am one who bears witness of myself
and the father who sent me bears witness of me. Then they said to Him, where is your Father? Jesus answered, You know neither me nor my Father. If you had known me, you would have known my father also.”
Jesus is the Father’s witness to the world, of what God(the Father) is like.

In St. John 14:8,9,10a the question was asked to show them the Father? “Phillip
said to Him, Lord show us the Father and it is sufficient for us. Jesus said to him, Have I been with you so long and yet you have not known me Phillip? He who has seen me has seen the father; so how can you say show us the Father? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me.”
The little word in is all important because you must be in Christ to be in God the Father.

The story is told that Mrs. Jones was suddenly ill in the night and a new doctor
was called. After a look at the patient the doctor stepped outside the sick room to ask Mr. Jones for a corkscrew. Given the tool, he disappeared but several minutes later was back demanding a pair of pliers. Again he disappeared into the room of the moaning patient, only to call out again, ” A chisel and a mallet, quickly.” Mr. Jones could stand it no longer. “What is my wife’s problem, doctor? Don’t know yet,” was the reply. “Can’t get my instrument bag open.” You must be in Christ the same way the doctor’s instruments were in his bag.

Phillip got the answer from the Lord that when you see Jesus, you see the Father.
The question, Is it sufficient for you to know that Christ is in God the Father and the Father is in Christ?

Are you in the Father? Then accept in your heart and confess with your mouth that God raised Christ from the dead in 3 days for sin, (Romans 10:9,10). Do you believe this? Then you should be happy with joy if you have recieve Christ for the remission of your sin. Rejoice and praise God the Father for His saving work on the Cross.
