What goes down comes up? Farming is a necessary process to produce a crop. What is sown will be reaped. Galatians 6:7 says “Do not be deceived God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows that shall he also reap.” What you do will be repaid? What you do will be apparent someday.

Whatever you do that’s right or whatever you do that is wrong produces the same. (Job 4:8) “Even as I have seen those who plan iniquity and sow trouble reap the same.” (Proverbs 11:18), “The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.”

Charles Reed wrote,

“Sow an act, and reap a habit.
Sow a habit, reap a character.
Sow a character, reap a destiny.”

A Farmer asked, “Is this seed guaranteed?” The merchant responded, “It certainly is. If the seed doesn’t grow, just bring it back, and we’ll refund the money.” That is the way a lot of us think, what we do in life will have no consequences.

God says don’t fool yourself I will not be made to appear foolish. What any person does will be evidently seen. The type of seed that is planted will produce the same kind of fruit. Lying seeds produce lies. Hate seeds produce hatred. Lustful seeds produce lust. Rebellious seeds produce rebellion against God.

What goes down in the ground of your life come up. What is planted is produced. God says, “Break up your untilled ground and do not sow among thorns,”(Jeremiah 4:3). God says “Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap in mercy, break up your untilled ground. For it is time to seek the Lord till He comes and rains righteousness on you. You have blowed wickedness: You have reaped iniquity You have eaten the fruit of lies: because you trusted in your own way,”(Hosea 10:12, 13).

Every person will increase the kind of seed sown. The reproduction of the fruit will always be a lot more then what is sown. “They sow the wind, and reap the whirlwind…”(Hosea 8:7) Are you ready to deal with the increase production of your seeds sown?

Have you placed the seed of faith on Christ in your heart? He who sows to Him will reap eternal life. Have you sown to Christ Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection? That is the only way to began sowing spiritual things, (Galatians 6:8). What are you planting? What goes down comes up.”

A husband and wife were driving down a country lane on their way to visit some friends. They came to a muddy patch in the road and the car became bogged. After a few minutes of trying to get the car out by themselves, they saw a young farmer coming down the lane, driving some oxen before him.

The farmer stopped when he saw the couple in trouble and offered to pull the car out of the mud for $50. The husband accepted and minutes later the car was free. The farmer turned to the husband and said, “You know, you’re the tenth car I’ve helped out of the mud today.”

The husband looks around at the fields incredulously and asks the farmer, “When do you have time to plough your land? At night?”

“No,” the young farmer replied seriously, “Night is when I dig and put the water in the hole.”

What are you sowing? Do you think you will get away with whatever you are doing? Don’t be deceived, you will reap what you sow?
