Think about some of the choices you have made recently. God desires that we choose Him and His ways with every decision. Is God first in every choice that you make? Joshua made a choice, who he was going to serve (Joshua 24:15). Have you?

Why is it so hard to tell the truth but yet so easy to tell a lie? Why are we so sleepy in church but right when the Sermon is over we wake up? Why is it so hard to talk about God but yet so easy to talk about nasty stuff? Why do we buy Lotto tickets or go to the Casino instead of regularly supporting your local church?

Why is it so hard to read the Bible yet so easy to read some magazine? Why is attending a church so hard and rare, but going to a sports event or club so easy? Why is it so easy to say no to Christ’s invitation to accept His work on the cross, yet so easy to try to be accepted by our good deeds?

A motorist was driving in the country when he came upon a priest and a rabbi standing on the shoulder of the road fishing. Next to them was a sign that read, “Turn around. The end is near.”

The motorist didn’t like to be preached to, so he rolled down the window and yelled, “Mind your own business, you religious nuts!” A few seconds later the two fishermen heard tires screech, then a splash. The rabbi turned to the priest and said, “I told you we should have just written, “Bridge Out.”

Have you ever thought about your small choices? Your small choices reveal your inner character. Your actions reflect your attitude and your aspirations. Why do you do these things that are not right? Answer: Sin.

Now knowing this about yourself, what are you going to do about it? Romans 3 – says that everyone falls short of God’s Glory. We are born sinful therefore we make the wrong choices. The question is what are you doing about it?

May I make a suggestion? Let Christ Jesus be your Lord, confess Him and the work on the cross for your sin and your sinful choices. Ask Him to come into your heart and cleanse you from sin. Simply believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans 10:9.

God’s Son Jesus Christ wants to be involved in every choice you make. Let Him. He is the only one that has the power to change your sinful choices and actions. Let Him correct your sinful thinking and be involved in all your choices.

You must decide how you will live. Are you going to live for yourself or God? Living for yourself will not be the right choice. Deciding to trust Christ for your sin is choosing God and His way.

Are you doing all you can for Christ? Is He really important to you? Do you realize the way you live reflects what is important to you? Your actions are a result of your choices and your choices reflect your attitude which reveal your aspirations.

Decisions reveal three A’s

  1. Aspirations (your mind)
  2. Attitude (your emotions)
  3. Actions (your will)

Consider the small choices—why you do what you do? You might realize that it points to your need for God.

Remember that God is still watching. The choice is now yours. What are you going to do? Think about the “Small Choices Why?”
