Jesus said, “Take heed therefore how you hear: for whosoever
has to him shall be given and whosoever has not, from him shall
be taken even that which he seems to have,”(Luke 8:18).
Are you sure you hear God and have what he has given you? Do you
have what you think you have heard or has God taken it away? So
after reading this verse can you answer both these questions.
A man went to his wife with hearing problems and said, “Sweet
heart I have been married to you for fifty years and I find you
tried and true.” His wife said, “What?” He repeated
it, “Sweetheart I been married to you for fifty years and I
find you tried and true.” His wife said, “What?”
He repeated it again. His wife says, “Yeah, I been married
to you for fifty years and I’m tired of you too.”
Think about what Jesus is saying. Are you listening to Him? He says
be sure to pay attention to what you hear. To those who are receptive
to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But to those who
are not listening, even what they think they have will be taken
away from them. Other scriptures that verify this are Mark 4:23-25;
Deuteronomy 6:3; Proverbs 1:23

BibleThe Wrong Way to Listen
• First, Where the source is from is unclear. It’s from
anywhere but God. Answer: Not the Bible

You don’t understand and know it’s details. The truth you do know
and understand is taken away and lost. Answer: Not the Bible
• Third, No more instruction is given and nothing is added

Answer: Not the Bible
Jesus said blessed are those that hear the word of God and
keep it, (Luke 11:28). If you listen to God’s word and
apply it, you will receive a blessing. The Christian life of some
churchgoers is so inconspicuous that you’d think Christ commanded
his followers to “Go out into all the world, shut up and keep
your heads down.”
John said in Revelation 1:3, Blessed is the person that reads, that
hears, and then keeps God’s word. Revelation 2:7,11,29; 3:6,13,22
says “He that has an ear let him hear what the spirit says
unto the churches.” Each person should, be careful how they
listen?
Be careful to listen to God and His word. God the father wants everyone
to listen to Jesus Christ. At Mt. Transfiguration God spoke out
and said in Matt.17:5,6 , “this is my only begotten Son who
I am completely pleased with, Hear Him.” Listen to Him (Jesus).
If you listen to Jesus Christ you will be better equipped to know
what is right. You will be able to live for Him knowing what He
desires from you. Listen, and Learn, and Let God have your life.
Are You listening to God? Are You carefully hearing what He is saying?
God commanded us to “Hear Him,”(Mark 9:7).
Be careful how you Listen?
