"For which cause we faint not but through our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day,"(2 Cor. 4:16).

Sometimes when we have a problem with our telephone bill, mortgage lender, electric company, or automobile, we wish we knew someone high up on the inside of those organizations who could help us with our problem personally. Sometimes we wish we had a inside connection.

Well brothers and sisters if you are born again in Christ you do have the highest inside connection there is available and that’s God. God’s major project is on the inside of you. He is working on an inside job.

That job is changing your carnal, lustful desires to be holy and Godly desires. Once when my children where little I bought them some helium filled balloons. After one of the balloons had burst my daughter ask me to replace the missing balloon. I took one of the birthday rubber balloons and blew it up by my own breath.

Once I blew it to the same size as the other balloons, I notice the helium balloons floated in the air and the one I blew up fell over to the floor. What was the difference? What was on the inside determined what it did – float or fall.

If you have been saved then you have all that is needed on the inside on you to live godly. Don’t copy the behavior of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think, (Romans 12:2). God wants us to desire his law (the Bible) after the inward motive, (Romans 7:22). God wants to give us a new heart and mind to worship Him forever. It’s for our own good,(Jeremiah 32:39). God wants us to desire honesty from the heart, so He can teach us to be wise in our innermost being, (Psalms 51:6).

A Buddhist monk walked into a Zen pizza parlor and said, "Make me one with everything." When he got his order he gave the owner (The Zen pizza cashier) a $20 bill. The owner pocketed the money. "Hey" asked the monk, "Where is my change?" "Change", replied the owner nicely, "Must come from within." And that is what God is doing, changing us from the inside out.

Paul said, "And the very God of Peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit, and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, (1 Thessalonians 5:23). God who saved you is faithful to keep changing you to be ready for heaven someday. God is working on three areas deep inside of you, your Spirit (God Consciousness), your Soul (Self Consciousness), and your Body (Environment Consciousness). How you think. What you want. What you feel.

God says when we yield to Him, He will give us singleness of heart and put a new spirit within us. He will take away our hearts of stone and give us a tender heart instead. A heart to obey Him and show that we are really His people and He is our God, (Ezekiel 11:19). God says if we trust Him, He would give us a new inside with a new and right desire. He will put His Holy Spirit in us and remove our heart of sin and give us a new obedient heart, (Ezekiel 6:26)

Therefore we should never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed everyday,(2 Corinthians 4:16). God has a major redesigning project taking place inside of every believer. It’s an Inside Job. God is not so concerned with changing your circumstance or environment as much as He is in changing you on the inside. Changing you from the inside out is God’s Inside Job.
