What if I were to tell you that this week each of
you have been followed around by a person with a hidden video camera?
What you have done in
your homes, on your jobs, with your friends and everywhere you went that
was recorded?

Everything done by you was tapped by the video camera. How would you
respond if these tapes were watched by everyone you knew, right now?
Most of you might feel a sense of panic because all your behavior this
week were recorded.

This might frighten and embarrass you. What is it that may have been
videoed about you that would humiliate you? What would have made you
ashamed of yourself? God says in Psalm 139:1-24, that He knows everything
about you.

Would God approve of the ways you have thought and acted? What about
your entertainment, your movies, your music, and your unmentionable habits?
Would God approve and be pleased?

Are you really trusting God? Have you trusted Christ as your Saviour?
If you have, why are you not relying on Him? Proof that a person is born
again and trusting God is when they are doing things the way Christ would
do it.

When that person is not doing what pleases God, then they are not dependent
on Him. Dependence on Christ is the only path to doing those things that
please God. Are you dependent on Christ?

What you believe is what you will do. Those who believe in Christ will
desire to do what pleases Him. Ask yourself am I doing what Christ wants
me to do? Look at yourself?

Our actions must be motivated by God’s love so that all we do will be
for his glory. Keep this as a guiding principle by asking, Is this action
glorifying God? How can I honor God through this action?

The bible says if you are a Christian then do everything to the glory
of God, (1 Corinthians 10:31). Take another good look at your
self and evaluate if you are living the kind of life Christ would have
you to
live. Check yourself out.

1 Corinthians 11:31 says, “If we would judge ourselves, we should
not be judged.” God says judge yourself then He will not have to
judge you. Are you doing everything as unto the Lord? Judge yourself.
God wants purity in your Life. Are you doing things to please God?

Can you imagine all your actions being seen and known by everyone? This
alone should motivate us to do right. Yet a greater reason should be
because it’s seen and known by God. Sometimes we forget and don’t remember
this.

Speaking about our memory, a worker was called on the carpet by his
supervisor for talking back to his foreman. “Is it true that you called him
a liar?” Worker: “Yes I did.” Supervisor: “Did you
call him stupid?” Worker: “Yes.” Supervisor: “And
did you call him an opinionated, bullheaded maniac?” Worker: “No,
but would you write that down so I can remember it?”

Paul said to the Colossian church to remember in Chapter 3:11-17 you
are the elect of God (Chosen) to show:

  1. Mercy v.12
  2. Kindness v.12
  3. Humbleness v.12
  4. Meekness v.12
  5. Longsuffering v.12
  1. Forbearance v.13
  2. Forgiveness v.13
  3. Love v.14
  4. Peace v.15
  5. Thankfulness v.15

“hatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord
Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him,” (Colossians
3:17)
. Whatever
you do or say, let it be as a representative of the Lord Jesus.
Since God has given us work to do in every aspect of our daily
living.

Colossians 3:23 says “And whatsoever you do, do it heartily, as
to the Lord, and not to men.”

Do everything as unto the Lord.
