If we honor God we will be blessed. So how do you honor God? Remember the words of Thomas Macaulay that said, “The measure of a man’s character is what he would do if he knew he would never be found out.” Read St. John the 5th chapter starting at verse nineteen and read to verse twenty four.

Jesus replied, ” I assure you the son can do nothing by Himself. He does only what He sees the father doing. What ever the father does, the son also does. For the father loves the son and tells him everything He is doing and the son will do far greater things than healing this man. You will be atonished at what he does. He wants to do just as the father does. And the father leaves all judgment to His son, so that everyone will honor the Father.”

Now if you refuse to honor the son, then you are certainly not honoring the father who sent Him. Jesus says I assure you those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins but they have already passed from death into everlasting life.

Do you have etneral life? The question is who are you honoring? We honor God the father by believing in His son Jesus Christ. Have you honored the Father? The choice is yours do you have it? Can you answer with assurance?

Whoever has God’s Son has life; whoever does not have his son does not have everlasting life, (1 John 5:12). Why was the book of St. John written? So you may Know that you have eternal life, (St. John 5:13).

Knowing what Christ has done for you is the first step to understanding.
Concentrate on His death, burial, and ressurection. Like the man that lost his job at the orange juice factory. Why? He couldn’t concentrate.

Can you say beyond a shadow of a doubt that you know you have everlasting life. Are you honoring yourself, or you honoring GOD? Be very sure by asking yourself who am I honoring?
