A pilot was flying a prop plane in the desert and needed to refuel. So he landed the plane in a fertile green area where fuel could be obtained. Refueling and checking his engine was also done.

After taking off again, he soon was flying over mountainous terrain. He noticed a noise that was scratching beneath his control panel. It sounded like some kind of animal had gotten into the control panel.

He became quiet concern, because he knew if an animal nibbled and bit on the electrical wiring it could cause a serious problem. But the problem could not be address because he had no place to land the plane in mountainous terrain.

Then the pilot got a wonderful idea. He speeded the plane faster and turned it’s
direction upward. Higher and higher into the air he flew until the noise and scratching
stopped. Later when he landed, he found a rat that had gotten in unnoticed when he was refueling in the desert. But the rat was dead, not being able to survive the flying at the higher altitudes.

It’s the same for us in our spiritual life when problems and troubles come in our life. We are to seek those things that are above. “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are Above, were Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above not on things on the earth,”(Colossians 3:1,2).

If you have been born-again in Christ God desires that you want the things that are from heaven. Desire heavenly things where Christ our Lord is sitting at the right hand of God the father put off sin by letting it die at the higher attitudes of God’s presences.

Ephesians 1:3 says because you are blessed in every spiritual blessing in heavenly
places in Christ. All you have to do is fly higher and higher into heavenly places by obeying Christ completely. Higher into God’s presence and the sins and troubles of this life will soon die so you can live. Are you seeking those things Above?
