In the wake of the 9-11 twin towers collapse, we as saints should always look for good instead of the bad. Looking for good things no matter how bad it gets is always a wonderful practice. Now would you go to your trash can or dumpster after gathering all the trash in your home and just stare at it.

Staring at the trash has very little value. If you look at things and only see the bad things that have happened, then you are going to affect your present thinking and your future behavior. We need to focus on good things and not on the bad things. We should throw away the wrong behavior of sin.

To leave the earth’s gravitational pull we need rockets that are powerful enough to overcome the earth’s gravity. The power of prayer and abiding in Christ lets us leave the sin of this world and go into heaven high above the small sins of our life and world.

To get a higher perspective of this life and world, we need to go into the presence of God. We need to go to our gracious heavenly Father and let Him pick us up into His loving arms. Up near his heart and ear. A higher perspective from God’s viewpoint.

There was a little boy standing in a crowd with his father. The little boy looked up to his father and said, “Daddy I can’t see.” So the father stooped down and picked his son up and immediately he could see.

The little boys perspective changed when his father lifted him up and pulled him closer to his face and heart. Are you only seeing things in life from an earthly perspective. Get closer to the father and ask him to lift you up to see things from His view. All problems will become smaller, when you get higher from his perspective.

If you only focus on the rubble of this life you will only see rubble. The rubbish and rubble of this world has been made by Satan. The bible says he is the prince of the power of the air (Ephesians 2:2) and is the cause of so much confusion.

God has already judged Him and defeated Him (John 12:31) therefore we have God’s higher perspective over anything in our life and world. So the question is why are you listening to the rubble and rubbish maker?

He has been defeated and only wants you to believe his lies and his false perspective. Look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, (Hebrews 12:2). If you want to change your perspective on this sin sick world go the Son, because no one can get to the father without coming to Jesus His Son, (John 14:6.)

If you have not dealt with your sinful heart, then you can not possibly know and see things from God’s perspective. You will only be able to focus on this world’s rubble and see sin’s effect to keep you from God’s heavenly perspective. Are you looking and living too low to see what is right?

Look to the cross and see God’s redeeming work to help change your perspective of your world. Seeing everything from God’s perspective will make all problems, suffering, hurts, and pains become very, very small. What is your perspective?

Everyone must acknowledge that they are sinners in God’s sight (Romans 3:10-23), so that they will see their need for God and His saving work. Your sin nature is a witness against you like the witness in a court case. The attorney asked the witness, “You have known the defendant how long?”

The witness response, “Twelve years.” The attorney asks, “Tell the court whether you think he is the type of person who would steal this money or not?” The witness responds, “How much was it?” Your sinful heart is a witness against God even if you don’t realize it.

God has removed us from the rubble and has made us priceless in His Son. We need to remember if we are saved that God has given us all that is needed to be successful in Christ. 2 Timothy 1:7, 9 – “For god has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of sound mind. Who has saved us and called us with a Holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.”

2 Timothy 1:7,9

v7. Given Us

  1. Power
  2. Love
  3. Sound Mind

v9. Who has

  1. Saved Us in Christ
  2. Called Us in Christ
  3. Given Us in Christ

Until we stop looking at rubble and start looking at the Cross we will always be defeated in our Christian life. Like the lady that says whenever she’s down in the dumps she gets a new hat. Someone said, “I thought all along that’s where she gets them.”

Look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, Hebrews 12:2. Look at the Cross not the rubble.
