Has Christ been resurrected in your Life? This Easter holiday ask yourself has Christ Jesus been resurrected in my heart? Has He now been allowed to raise His new life in my mind and soul? You are the only one that can determine that, so has He risen in you?
What is the first and most important thing about a resurrection? It is that death must first occur. Before a resurrection can take place death must happen. In order to live a person must die. Jesus said, “He that finds his life shall lose it: and he that loses his life for my sake shall find it,” (Matthew 11:39).
Resurrection means the rising from the dead, the state of coming back from the dead to life. A husband one day was complaining to his wife. He said, “You are crucifying me.” The wife responded, “Well you said you wanted to be like Jesus.”
All of us are going to die physically unless Jesus comes first. The scriptures teach that physical death is a sure thing for everyone. “It is appointed unto men once to die…”, (Hebrews 9:27). No one knows how or when death will happen. Most of us would put it off as long as possible, but we know it is coming. Rev. Hoise Bell of Berea Baptist Church says it best, “He does not know any body at the grave yard, he would trade places with.”
But what most people do not know is that unless they have been born again they are already spiritually dead. Ephesians 2:5, says we are dead in sins. God says we are dead in sins and need to be resurrected to life. Once we have been resurrected in Christ, we then have the power to yield to God.
Before we did not have that power to live right. Romans 6:10-14, says that our new resurrected position is dead unto sin and alive unto God. The question is “What are you doing with the person of Jesus Christ and His work on the cross?” Are you believing in Him with all of your heart, mind, and soul? Do you believe that Christ was resurrected to life, bodily and spiritually for your sin?
God says you must believe in the message of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ by faith, (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Why? Because the message of the cross is the power of God to those who are being saved (Romans 1:18,21). That power will then live in you to do what pleases God.
Has Christ Jesus been resurrected in your life? If He has been resurrected let Him live His life through you. Listen to Christ and obey what He tells you. Start dying to self and begin living for Him. He has commanded all of His resurrected children to love one another (John 13:34,35). Has He been resurrected in your life?
